that Toyota could no longer have MAP sensors available for their 2.2L I-4 they used in roughly 5 billion cars back in the late ‘90s/early ‘00s? Hopefully this is the only issue prohibiting my daughter’s “free” car from passing smog. Hopefully.
Off to the recycling yard!

Even if they did they’d cost a million pounds anyway. The older parts get the more they charge for them.

There’s gotta be someone else making those parts if Toyota isn’t.

Nope! I’ve even consulted the Parts Guru (my local NAPA distro center)

This sound like the perfect excuse for a 180HP 2zz swap!

The 5s? Yeah that is amazing. Etat about a 3s one, they aren’t that old and they made it for longer and it’s the same engine minus 200cc

Did you try rock auto? I’m guessing for a 99 Camry with the 2.2L.

Other options available if you search. Granted I could just have no idea what car it is I went on the info you gave.

Sounds vaguely like the quest I had when trying to find the hood release for a 1991 Celica. eBay can sometimes be your friend. If eBay doesn’t help, the 5SFE was in the Camry from 90-98 (roughly), the Celica from 90-99, the MR2 from 90-95, and a few others (Solara?)

It does appear that the 97+ cars have a different design than those before 97. Whichever your car is, it looks like they’re 20-30 bucks all day on eBay.

Rock Auto has plenty of them :)
